My Best Friend
Vivek is my best friend. He is my age. He is both my classfellow and neighbour. We are generally found together. Some people think that we are cousins.
Vivek is tall, slim and agile. Anybody can recognize him by his fair complexion, sharp features and intelligent face.
He is easily the cleverest boy in the class. Whenever a teacher puts us a question, he is the first to raise his hand. Everybody knows that his answer must be correct. He is the favourite of all the teachers. They say that he will shine in life. I feel very happy whenever somebody praises him.
Vivek is not a bookworm. Though he studies for a short time, he does so with full attention. Moreover, he has a sharp memory. This has made him a very successful student.
He is fond of games. He is particularly interested in badminton and cricket. However, he is just average in both. He plays for exercise and recreation.
Vivek has very charming manners. He always thanks the person who helps him. Similarly, he always feels sorry for his mistakes. He never forgets to congratulate others on happy occasions. He has a smile and soft words for everyone. So he is very popular with one and all. Vivek belongs to a family of doctors. Both his father and mother are in the medical profession. However, he has set his heart on becoming a college teacher. He believes that a teacher can serve the nation better than a doctor. I agree with him and wish him success in his aim.
